The waiting game...

I've just recently discovered how impatient I am.
Drives me nuts to wait.
Even when I'm getting out of work,
I don't wait,
I'm doing something at all times.
Stupid internet gave me add.
No, seriously.
Multiple browsers open,
high speed internet,
listening to music,
chatting,
writing a blog.
It's hard to do one thing at a time now.
Can't watch movies.
Oh no,
gotta be doing something with the hands.
Gotta be reading something.
Subtitles don't cut it.
I read those instantly.
But yeah,
The hardest thing is to wait.
There's always something to be done,
something to prepare for the event your waiting for.
This isn't always a good thing though.
Some say you can never be too prepared.
I've done it before.
Over preparation takes the fun out of life.
You all ready know it's going to happen,
and expect it.
No more surprise.
This also goes along with over planning.
You plan too much,
and you get stuck in a rut.
Better to have muddy plans,
and have to just mush through them,
than to have a dry day,
a day traveled many times before.
Right, I'm all out of space for that metaphor.
Yeah,
I really don't like waiting...

Amazing!

I went for a little experiment today.
Bought some new controversial shoes.
I got the Nike Free.
No, that doesn't mean it's free.
Still I think it was worth the money.
I tried them on,
thought they were comfortable to walk in.
I decided they were cheap enough,
that if I didn't like to run in them,
I'd just use them as my "cool" shoes.
Turns out I like running in them.
Me being me,
and thinking I'm too experienced for instructions,
I went with my own running plan.
Not the reccommended stuff on the box.
Actually felt better than my old shoes I had.
No abnormal pain,
no odd foot stress.
Just plain felt good.
Plus my balance was better.
Not sure if it was a mental thing,
or the shoe,
but I had better balance.
I try to run on the yellow curb only.
Gives me a good focus distance,
improves my balance,
and for some reason keeps my stride just right.
Not only that,
but I looked good.
With all my gear,
I looked like a million bucks,
cost about that too... j/k
Used the ipod shuffle neck lanyard.
Didn't drop it,
stayed nice and neat under the shirt.
Had my cool shirt on,
wicked some mad sweat away.
Now I need one more thing...
Someone to run with,
so we can look like 2 million bucks...

Suckered again...

They got me again.
I bought an apple product.
I got me an iPod shuffle.
The 1 gig style.
Definately didn't need it.
Allready have 3 mp3 players,
and other such devices.
They were selling them at the exchange.
only 150, plus there was no tax.
College students,
calm down.
you get to pick your schedule,
and I work 7 to 4.
But yeah...
1 gig for that price?
You can't beat that with a memory stick.
Yeah, that was a lame pun.
The best part about the ipod shuffle,
it's got this smooth cap,
just the right size for chewing on.
Not to mention it's all nice and smooth,
and you know,
I just got a +2 for coolness,
and a -1 for using a point based stat system.
I also got more cd's.
My music collection just bores me.
I can identify the artist withing 10 seconds,
thats 90% percent of the time.
What gets me is I can identify some,
some almost instantly.
Not just exclusives,
or overplayed artists either.
Who needs a display with a memory like that?
At least I know I've gotten the most out of my collection.

Killing time...

Not that you can really kill time, waste it, or spend it. I don't really believe it exists. Just a measurment like the metric system. Haven't been doing a whole lot. Just finding ways to keep myself occupied until the next daily unit comes around. Got a roommate. Don't really enjoy that much. I can't sleep with the lights on.(find it easier at times) No I'm not afraid of the dark... darkness causes thoughts. Thoughts cause insomnia. Can't walk around naked. Gotta keep my stuff picked up. I'll be allright. Just stay out as much as possible. Just have to worry about waking him up when I come in at 2am. Good thing I'm sneaky, and quiet. I saw the most ridiculous thing the other day. It was a belt buckle. Had lights and crap on it. Some guy was trying to pimp it like he was cool. No dude, lights belong on cars and on the house. I'm just waiting for spinners for your shoes... Feeling odly happy today. Don't really know why. Everything has been pretty bad, and today was only worse. Good thing it's all in the past. And like duran duran says, it'll be all right in the end. I saw Mr. And Mrs. Smith today. Not too bad. Just the way I'd imagine two people with equal skills of the same kind would be. I did expect more tricks from them, but nicely done. Liked the inside jokes as well... Don't want to spoil it for anyone. I think I'm finally going to see Kill Bill:Volume 1 tomorrow. Yeah, I'm behind the times on that one. Then again, it's rare that I sit down and watch a movie. I have a horrible movie history. I just find I have more than enough to do when I not sleeping that I can't fit a movie in. Movies are pretty low on my entertainment list because other forms require less attention, and are less occupying. But thats all for now. It's midnight, and I have little sleep ahead of me.

Nothing much...

Not too much happening right now.
Kinda stuck with a hard choice,
but I'm waiting for an answer.
You know who you are.
Got out of work today,
all because of some rain.
For once the rain did something good.
I'm supposed to be painting some park benches.
Can't do that in the rain.
Painting them this pretty cool,
deep sky blue color.
Still playing forza motorsports,
not as much as I did back home,
but I've been doing more here.
Not hard to do,
there wasn't anything to do back home.
You know,
hit up the movie theatre,
hit up the movie rental store,
Go to the mountains.
Yeah, thats about it.
Anyways, I've got get back to catching up.
Watching family guy and american dad.
Good stuff.

My mp3 player #2

Got my new mp3 player today.
It's pretty cool,
and does more than I exptected to get for the price.
It's RCA Lyra 2212.
A sport model with a nice rubber seal,
and splashproof buttons,
nice for those long sweaty runs.
I just found out that I can still run for 45 minutes.
Last time I tried getting back into shape,
all I could manage was like 25 minutes.
It's amazing what the proper inspiration will do.
I even got some nice running clothes.
Adidas climacool.
Those shirts are amazing.
They seem to dry instantly,
and have this nice movement about them.
You know, not restricting,
no chafing,
and no bunching.
Sounds like an underwear commmercial.
I've got this shirt, and this one.
A bit pricey, but I'd recommend them.
Then again, it's Adidas,
and you can't go wrong with Adidas.
Found a really cool use for my psp.
Roosterteeth productions,
the guys who produce Red Vs. Blue have made the previous episodes available to play on the psp.
Now I can take my favorite online show with me.
But yeah, I'm off to play some Forza motorsports,
and then do some nice leg killing workouts.
[edit]
Good thing I got the mp3 player. I've allready dropped it.
Made it througthe whole run,
finally fell off where I clipped it while I was do some cooldown
exercises. No harm done, and after a reset,
played like a champ.

X-box

Finally got one of these.
Probably should have waited,
you know,
for the xbox 360,
but it's only 140$,
plus I got forza motor sports.
Awesome game,
and now I call it my own.
Don't have to borrow,
or challange someone to play.
Some of you may be shocked,
shocked that I can drop 200$ on a whim.
I was planning on spending money.
I was going to buy an mp3 player,
yes another one,
one that was smaller,
and had no moving parts,
or hard drives.
I'd hate to have mine fail,
all because I went running,
and dropped it.
I'll just have to wait till tomorrow,
then I'll buy the mp3 player.
I love not having any expenses.
All my paycheck goes for fun.
Hard to do any more though.
What else can I buy?
I've debated buying a gamecube,
but theres no game I want for it,
just bought an x-box,
I've got 3 ps2's,
a laptop,
mp3 players,
pda,
hard drives,
psp, and a gameboy ds.
More music,
and movies than I know what to do with.
I haven't seen half the movies I own,
much to one's disgust,
especially over the Kill Bill volumes...
I guess I'm just spoiled.
Then again,
I wouldn't have it any other way.
But back to some hardcore racing,
and some new cars...

Bored

Right...
Nothing much going on right now.
Just trying to get out of work,
doing a good job at that.
Got out at 1400 every day this week.
Got done at like 1000 on Friday.
Just left,
what do you expect?
We were sitting there,
in the smoking area,
for over an hour.
Been pretty bored,
and boredome leads to spending.
I've gotten too much new music,
didn't know it was possible,
but it happens.
Came across a good band,
Pulley,
I also find the new Mudvayne cd is very good as well.
Can't put anything new on my mp3 player,
forgot a usb cable,
and haven't bought one yet,
Still can't believe I don't have one.
I have everything,
for a computer that is.
Wasn't able to go for my run yesterday,
rained really hard.
I don't go out in the rain.
Many have tried,
some succeeded,
but none have made me enjoy it,
and always against my will.
No amount of that magic,
the magic girls seem to have,
will have me enjoying a rain storm.
Other than that,
my plan has been going fine.
Did find some inspiration,
and some reasons above inspiration.
We'll just have to see,
mainly when the boat gets back.
Not much time after work.
Yes, it's actually work,
not just an act,
something to keep everyone happy,
and give an image,
one that appears you work for a living.
And I'm now off to get some good eating...

finally..

It's apparently it's official.
Took plenty of time,
at least in my opinion.
Still,
don't think I'd buy one.
Not yet at least.
What am I talking about?
It seems true,
taken from a reliable source,
the source being wired.com.
Apple is changing,
not cosmetically,
or software wise,
but changing the processor type.
Thats right,
going from big blue to intel.
This article says it all.
But yeah, thats all I have.

Like this will happen...

I've done this before,
actualy several times.
Everytime I say I mean it,
and of course I do,
too bad it never works out.
Speaking of works out,
thats what I plan on doing.
I plan on getting in shape,
more like where I left off.
Get back to what I could do,
all in days gone by.
Possibly even better,
faster,
stronger.
We have the technology...
At least I do.
Too bad I see failure in the future.
Just like all new technology,
it fails several times.
Most is well tested,
but theres always that chance,
it may be slim, but some will fail.
Some will work out just fine.
Maybe I can do it this right this time.
I do have the time,
and the potential is there,
I just need to charge it,
fill it up,
or however you want to say it.
now if only I had the right motivation,
the right stuff to keep me going,
I need something more than gatorade,
and definately more than water.
My biggest problem is,
and has been this little fact,
I'm in better shape than my peers.
Way better shape.
I can double the pushups,
and double the situps,
and then run 2 miles for their 1,
In the same amount of time,
and still keep going.
And going,
almost like the energizer bunny.
And of course,
I'm already a stud,
always have the stick nearby,
the stick to beat off the lady friends.
And yet,
I'm diasappointed,
disappointed with my hard work,
the work that got me so fast and strong.
It's all gone to waste.
But thats what 3 years will do,
3 years of sitting around,
sitting in school,
killing time at sea,
but hopefully,
I'll change all that now.
And off I go,
running off into the sunset...
[edit]
and back I am.
Had a good run,
slow, but good.
went to eat at a good restaraunt,
I saw something amazing there.
A japanese teenager with a shirt,
a Steve Prefontaine shirt.
Just crazy,
but yeah.

Internet cafe

Well,
I went to my favorite internet cafe.
Its called Dice.
Stands for disc city entertainment.
Whole place got an upgrade.
Nice new leather chairs,
Very squeeky and noisy.
Almost embarrassing.
Still, place got a nice upgrade.
Booths for everyone now.
Before there was about 12 computers.
Yes, computers.
This place has computers you can use.
Not cheap things, but high end computers.
pentium 4, a gig of ram. dvd +/-Rw.
Games pre-installed on them.
Free burning as long as you have the discs.
Free printing. Free coffee and drinks.
They let you plug your computer in.
Best of all though is the connection.
I've gotten up to 23mBps.
In the states, all you get is 6mBps.
With cable, by yourself.
This is a public place, with 3 floors,
and 25 computers per floor.
Thats alot of bandwidth.
Some booths have tv's, and ps2's in them.
And every booth includes...
A coat hanger, and complimentary foot rest.

Heres a slightly decent picture of a lesser booth.
Thats my laptop, notice the vaio on it?
Very sexy...
And yes, the monitor behind it is sony as well.
Another reason I like this place.
But who could forget the bandwidth?

Back in Japan

Just got back
11 hours on one plane, 4 hours on other planes.
Not too bad. No screaming kids.
Movies cuold hvae been better,
but I managed to sleep for most of the trip.
I'm just glad to be back,
mainly for a stable internet connection,
and to give that poor monkey a break.
You know, the one carrying the 1's and 0's.
Internet seems that bad using 56k.
Back to getting some good food.
Not that home made food isn't good,
just being in Japan for a year
gets you used to the local food.
Back to getting online comics in real time.
Red vs Blue needs some catching up on.
Just as does Ill Will Press.
And I'm actually planning on putting some pictures up.
Took some, brought the camera and cradle.
Payed for some public high speed internet.
Forgot the usb cable.
It'll all be good.
Have all weekend to do it.
One thing I am going to miss is some good tv.
Can't watch american dad, or family guy.
None of the good stuff.
Even the simpsons are hard to come by.
At the worst time possible too,
The new seasons all start in June.
Oh well, I have other ways to get my fix.
I found this one not too long ago.
Family Guy Quotes are freakin' hilarious.
And for real this time,
prepare for some mindblowing pictures,
that will take your mind,
for I am Mentok the mind taker.
