Not too smart

These wonderful devices,
the ipod shuffle that is,
seem to have a good time,
all they do is taunt me.
This time it was my fault.
Good ol' operator error.
Just proof it happens,
to even the best.
It started fairly simple,
shuffling when not in shuffle mode.
I thought it was broke,
previously dropped it,
stopped the music,
and turn it off and back on.
because it was "broke",
I attempted some disassembly.
All three inches of it.
I thought my skills were enough,
but apparently,
apple built these to be disposable.
They don't come apart.
Plenty of glue is used,
and it seems the case is filled,
and then they jam the insides in.
Luckily I know how to be "careful".
Mine still works,
and the case isn't damaged.
The buttons aren't meant to come off.
You end up tearing the plastic,
and have no way to reattach them.
The power switch comes off,
fairly easy too.
Just turn it off,
and pry the slide off.
After giving up,
I charge the abused ipod,
go to delete some songs.
I find the problem.
I sorted the songs by play count,
itunes arranged the playlist like that.
Now I have a pre-shuffled playlist.
Seems itunes is wysiwyg.
Pretty shoddy in my view.
You want to see your songs by rating?
Now your playlist is arranged by rating.
And now my ipod has a dent on the connecter,
some pry marks on it,
and a torn plastic sheet.
Thats my story for the day,
I hope you all enjoy the humor,
and get a good laugh at me.
For some of you,
it just goes to show something,
I'm not always that bright.
